La Ventana Town

THE TOWN OF

LA VENTANA

La Ventana is a quiet town and is very safe. Many gringos, especially retired, spend their winters here enjoying their favorite wind sport. The town keeps busy with tourists during the high season which is October through March.

Getting Around

La Ventana is small. It’s easy to get around by walking, bicycling, or with an ATV. Kurt n’ Marina’s central location makes it easy to get just about anywhere in town in minutes.

Groceries

There are several small convenience stores scattered around La Ventana. Including two stores within one block on either side of the resort. Look for the glowing Pacifico signs! Here you can usually find fresh produce, dairy products, dry goods, beer, water and all the essentials. One location has laundry service. Take your clothes in dirty in the morning and pick it up later in the day clean and folded. The biggest market is Escoritos in El Sargento, the next town, which is a 15 minute bike ride or short car ride.
